This year, as always, the Nashville Symphony puts out some fantastic shows to help get you in the holiday spirit.  This year's lineup includes three showings of Handel's Messiah on 12/18 - 12/20, Joy - An Irish Christmas, and A Nashville Symphony New Year's Eve.  Check out the website for pricing.

ICE! featuring Twas the Night Before Christmas

2800 Opryland Drive
Nashville, TN 37214

ee Ma in her kerchief, Pa in his cap and more as the classic holiday poem, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, is brought to life in TWO MILLION pounds of hand-carved ice sculptures, including two-story tall ice slides. This awe-inspiring experience concludes with the wonder and majesty of a full Nativity in stunning, crystal clear ice. It is all part of A Country Christmas at Gaylord Opryland.

Lights on Old Charlotte

2613 Old Charlotte Pike
Franklin, TN 37064
(615) 555-0123
Tucked away in Franklin about 4 miles west of downtown Franklin on Hwy 96 is Old Charlotte Pike.  Take a tour down this quaint little road and you'll come face-to-face with over 65,000 Lights, 144 Channels of Light-O-Rama Computer Control, and 21 Channels of DMX Control.  I'm not sure what some of this actually means, but they sure do put on a show.  The really cool thing about this display is that it is broadcast over a Low-Power FM Transmitter that can be heard on 89.9FM.  The show runs from 4:30-10:30pm daily and it will be up and running until Christmas day!
Belmont University Bell Tower
1900 Belmont Boulevard Nashville, TN 37212
What better way to ring in Christmas than will a Christmas concert with  traditional Christmas music played on the Belmont University Bell Tower’s 42-bell carillon.  The event is free and open to the public and is one unique Christmas tradition for you and the family.

Marshmallow and Hot Chocolate HikeMarshmallow Hot Chocolate Hikes

Here's one we are super excited for!  On December 28-30, bundle up the kids and bring the family out to Owl’s Hill to enjoy a winter hike followed by hot chocolate with marshmallows in front of the fireplace of our beautiful Russell Gathering Pavilion. There should be all kinds of wildlife on display as well as the opportunity to look for fossils, tracks and all things outdoors!   Get out and enjoy some of these great things during the month.  Got other events that we should all see? Let us know what they are so we can all enjoy them.
